The well-known Lagunas de Neila are currently the Lagunas Glaciares de Neila Natural Park. These are the long lagoon, the black lagoon (in Burgos, not the one in Soria), the ducks lagoon, the pardillas lagoon and the waterfall lagoon. All of them under the Campiña peak, 2049 meters above sea level, from where we have spectacular views of the Sierra de la Demanda.
This set of glacial lagoons is located to the south of the province of Burgos. To access it you must reach the towns of Neila or Quintanar de la Sierra. In Neila you have the Casa del Parque, where you can obtain information.
There are many hiking trails in the area. Pine, beech, oak and holly is the main vegetation you will find. The landscapes are spectacular at any time of the year. In winter it is possible that some roads are cut off by snow, but you will see the frozen lagoons.
