A magical place for children, but also for the elderly. In this territory, to the southeast of the province of Burgos, dinosaur footprints abound. We can see them between the towns of Quintanilla de las Viñas to Mambrillas de Lara. More than a thousand footprints spread over 14 sites, dating from the period between the Jurassic and the Cretaceous and covering nearly five kilometres.
In addition, we proudly show the reproductions of several life-size specimens, both in the landscape and in the Dinosaur Museum in Salas de los Infantes.
It is quite an experience to have dinosaur footprints in front of you. Take a route that will take you through the La Pedraja site, in Mambrilla de Lara where you will see more than 100 footprints, the Las Sereas site, in Quintanilla de las Viñas, Costalomo in Salas de los Infantes, and if you go as far as Soria, in Regumiel The Frontal.
The Dinosaur Museum will delight the little ones. You can visit it in Salas de los Infantes. Dioramas, skeleton replicas and dinosaur statues. Open every day except Monday, in the morning and afternoon (Sundays and holidays only mornings). Find it in the Plaza Mayor.
